Greg Thompson Assembles All-Star Cast for Reno Return of 
“Broadway Showstoppers” 

Greg Thompson, the world's most prolific producer of musical revues, is returning to Sammy's Showroom at Harrah’s Reno with a brand new version of his classic "Broadway Showstoppers" production. 

Opening July 4th with an all-star cast of performers, this will be the fourth time the Broadway musical revue has played the venerable showroom in the past 22 years. 
"Each time we bring "Broadway Showstoppers" back we add songs from the hottest new musicals on Broadway," said Thompson, "Right now it's what they call Jukebox Musicals. Songs that were once Top 40 hits but are now woven into a Broadway show!" 

The new version of “Broadway Showstoppers” will include some old classic "warhorse" productions like “Cabaret”, “West Side Story”, “Guys & Dolls” and “Grease” but will focus on the newest Broadway hits that feature the music of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, The Beach Boys, Carole King, The Bee Gees, Billy Joel and Motown. 

“Broadway Showstoppers” will be choreographed by Mistinguett, Thompson's long-time collaborator, whose work on this show in the past earned her a spot in the Broadway "Hall of Fame" from the American Theatre Roundtable. 
Starring in the production will be 6 outstanding talents from all over the United States.
Steven Mokofsky is a veteran of Thompson's shows who has opened for acts such as the Temptations, The Supremes, and the Duke Ellington Orchestra. He has performed on stage, on television and in films and is the artistic director and producer for a major theatre complex in Michigan. 

Jeffery Ricca has appeared in National Broadway Tours of “South Pacific”, “Fiddler on the Roof” and “Chicago”. 

Michael Scott Ross has appeared on television, in film and on stage in productions of “Hello Dolly”, “Guys & Dolls”, “The Wizard of Oz” and as the lead singer in the long-running Donn Arden, Las Vegas spectacular, “Jubilee!” 

Nellie Norris has appeared as the lead singer in several Greg Thompson Productions including the country hit, "Bareback" at Harrah’s, Las Vegas. For Legends in Concert she has impersonated Cyndi Lauper, Cher, Minnie Pearl, Loretta Lynn and Katy Perry. She has also toured the world with the USO. 

Sara Hickey has performed as the lead singer in the world famous "Fremont Experience" in Las Vegas and has traveled the world performing on cruise ships. She has starred in several shows for Greg Thompson and portrayed country music powerhouse, Carrie Underwood with Legends In Concert.

Mistinguett is recognized in the entertainment industry as one of the most experienced director/choreographers of her time. Having worked with partner-producer Greg Thompson from 1982-2007, she has opened over 500 shows on

5 continents over a 25 year period. She has collected 7  "Show of the Year" awards and 3 "Best Costume Design" awards for her work in Reno, Las Vegas and Atlantic City entertainment markets.  She was also inducted into the "American Theatre Musical Roundtable Hall of Fame" in New York, featured on the E! Channel reality series "Nearly Famous II" and the HBO documentary "Glitz and Angst - The Making of Showgirls". 

From 2007 to present, Mistinguett has created her own production company and is now collaborating with Kevin & Caruso Productions to develop new shows for Carnival Cruise Lines... "Lady Hellevi- Enchantress of the Elements 07' on the Carnival Conquest, "Justin Illustion 08" on the Carnival Glory, "New Wave Magic" and the brand new late night concept show "A Kiss Goodnight " on the Carnival Triumph and now the new Carnival Magic "Destination Unknown" starring world renowned magician Jason Byrne .

Rencently concentrating on a land based shows for the Kevin & Caruso production team, directed and choreographed the new mega show “Magique”, that had a three month run at the Eldorado Hotel Casino in Reno, NV winter of 2013 and now currently running an open ended engagement at the Tropicana in Atlantic City , this show is headed for a national tour gathering rave reivews with each stop.

Currenly working out of Las Vegas, Mistinguett and her company have produced over 50 shows for the Sun City theatres in Summerlin and Anthem. She has created many hit shows for some of the biggest companies in the world, such as Harrah’s, Mirage and Caesars, Microsoft and Boeing, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruise Lines and Carnival, HBO and Playboy.  She has opened dozens of shows for the Gulf Coast Casinos, including The Grand, The New Palace, Casino Magic and the Isle of Capri, Japan, France, China, New Zealand, Bermuda, Thailand and Germany, with credit staging and choreographing the closing ceremonies for the Monte Carlo Grand Prix, the musical revue SOPHISTICATED RHYTHMS starring Clint Holmes in New Zealand, she was one of three choreographers to produce STERNE at the Friedrichstadtpalast in Berlin, Germany, directed by Pieter Grove’, the MISS BERMUDA PAGEANT at the Southampton Princess Hotel, the PAN ASIAN GAMES at the Thailand Arena, Thailand, 19 show openings at the Showboat 5i Hilton Hotel in Tokyo and a five-city tour of China.


STEVEN J. MOKOFSKY  (MC /Singer/Dancer)

Steven Mokofsky is a professional producer, director, actor, singer, dancer, choreographer, writer, fight choreographer, dialect coach, musician and teacher having 30 years of experience in professional theatre, nightclubs, casino showrooms, resorts and aboard the world’s most luxurious cruise ships from Broadway to Bermuda, California to the Caribbean and everywhere in between!

Steve is thrilled to once again be working with his friend and mentor, Greg Thompson. He has performed with such notable headliners as the Temptations, The Supremes, The Drifters, The Spinners, The Glenn Miller and Duke Ellington Orchestras and a multitude of novelty and variety acts.

Steven graduated from the University Of Kansas in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism, a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and a Master of Arts in Theatre Directing and Design. As both a professional producer and director in residence as well as free lance actor, singer, dancer and director for repertory, stock and dinner theatre companies throughout the country, a good portion of these years has been with Greg Thompson Productions, where he performed and directed in major casino and resort showrooms in Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, Atlantic City, Bermuda, Biloxi, New Orleans, St. Thomas, Chicago, and New York City. He also performed on board many of the world's premier cruise ships including, RCCL's Sovereign of The Seas, The Royal Viking and the Q.E. II.

As an educator and teacher of theatre arts, he has provided many workshops, seminars and master classes in all areas of performance and technical theatre with professional theatres as well as colleges and universities. A professional acting coach, he collaborates with many notable producers in the recording, television and film industries as well as multiple theatrical venues.

He is a member of Actors Equity Association, The Society of Stage Directors And Choreographers, The American Guild Of Variety Artists and The American Federation Of Television And Radio Artists. He has also performed in multiple radio and television commercials, industrial films and in smaller roles in major motion pictures.

JEFF RICCA  (Singer/Dancer)

A triple threat performer, Jeff started singing at six years old, giving feature performances at numerous churches and schools throughout his hometown in the Inland Valley of Southern California. Fresh out of high school, he was accepted into the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Hollywood. Into his first year of college studying in the Theatre Department at Cal State University San Bernardino, he was invited to perform at the American College Theatre Festival in Logan, Utah where he was offered to perform with various national tours (Kaiser Educational Theatre, Missoula Children’s Theater)

While studying acting as intended, Jeff finally found his passion of Musical Theatre. Since then, he has performed in numerous productions throughout the Inland Empire and Orange County area. His most memorable roles in classic musicals include Gaston in “Beauty and the Beast”; Master of Ceremonies in “Cabaret”; Curly in “Oklahoma!”; and Harold Hill in “The Music Man”.

Soon enough he starred in the Broadway National Tours of South Pacific (Lt. Cable) and Fiddler on the Roof (Motel/Perchik). Jeff is also a platinum award-winning singer performing at the Manhattan Hilton showcasing his duo performance of “Jekyll & Hyde” in New York. He has had the privilege of singing for the Children Affected by AIDS Foundation in Santa Monica, sponsored by Jamie Lee Curtis and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Jeff has even taken his voice to the open seas, performing aboard the luxury cruise ships of Holland America Line, singing multiple styles of music all over the world including Italy, Hawaii, Tahiti, Canada, and Spain.

Besides performing on stage, Jeff is even more thrilled to be on the directing side of the tunnel. He ran a performing arts academy in Riverside, CA for six years, putting together annual children’s musical theatre productions affiliated with the Community Education. He was the resident acting coach, teaching weekly classes for children of all ages including scene study and improvisation, and also taught private instruction in acting and voice.

Jeff is an award-winning competition coach directing numerous Elite production teams taking them to Gold in national competitions from Las Vegas to New York. He has taken his students to noble lengths performing for various charity events including the Montefiore Children’s Hospital in the Bronx and Lincoln Medical Center in Brooklyn; the March Air Force Base, as well as thirteen years at Knotts Berry Farm. Mr. Ricca’s students have performed internationally at sea! His company is affiliated with Royal Caribbean Cruise line performing as a guest artist for the last ten years.


Michael is originally from New York and holds a BA in Theatre from Wagner College. He spent four years performing his one man shows "Some Enchanted Evening" and "A Tribute To Gershwin" all over the world.

He recently played Cornelius alongside Sally Struthers in "Hello, Dolly!". In 2010, Michael originated the role of Man 2 in the NY Regional Premiere of "Edges".

Other New York credits include: Mr. Sowerberry in "Twist" and a vocalist in "Raffi On Broadway". Michael is currently residing in Las Vegas, Nevada and most recently performed in "Jubilee!" at Bally's Hotel and Casino before starring in Greg Thompson Production’s “Broadway Showstoppers” at Harrah, Reno.

NELLIE NORRIS (Singer/Dancer)

Nellie is an extremely versatile Singer/Dancer who graduated Cum-Laude from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor of Performing Arts degree in Dance.

Las Vegas is her home after leaving Branson, MO where she was an award winning performer. She is an accomplished lead singer and equally versed in intricate background harmonies, as well as formally trained in several styles of dance and has a flair for comedy.

Nellie is a professional impersonator as well. Her inaugural performance as Katy Perry began in Atlantic City for Legends In Concert and was followed by an extensive run out on the high seas with Norwegian Cruise Lines. In addition to Katy Perry, Nellie pays tribute to Cyndi Lauper, Cher, Minnie Pearl and Loretta Lynn.

She headlined Greg Thompson Productions’ high energy, country music show called “Bareback” at Harrah’s Casino, on the Las Vegas Strip. You can find her often as a featured entertainer with top producers not only in Las Vegas but throughout the country including Legends In Concert, Face Productions, Greg Thompson Productions, Tony Sacca and Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding.

She is very proud to have received an accommodation from the American Military’s “MWR” department for a tour in Korea performing for our troops. Nellie has also worked with Carnival Cruise Lines and Discoveryland's production of "Oklahoma" where she played Ado Annie.

Making people smile makes her happy and is not a choice for this fine and versatile entertainer. It’s an instinct.

SARA HICKEY (Singer/Dancer)

Sara was born and raised in Denver, CO and earned a B.S. in Communications and Journalism from the University of Wyoming.

While attending college in Laramie, WY, Sara got her first professional experience performing as a singing and dancing saloon girl at a local old west theme park.

Sara now calls Las Vegas her home performing at dozens of casinos on the strip as well as singing in many production shows on the world famous Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas.

Sara has traveled the world performing in various shows for Norwegian Cruise Lines and has starred in two Greg Thompson Productions: “Roadhouse Rodeo” and “Country Superstars,” where she portrayed Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and even Dolly Parton. Shortly after “Country Superstars,” Sara began performing as Carrie Underwood all over the country for “Legends in Concert.”

Sara is so excited to be performing in Greg Thompson’s “Broadway Showstopper’s” at Harrah’s this summer!

GABRIELLA VERSACE (Singer/DancerUnderstudy)

Gabriella Versace is no stranger to the stage. She has been singing and dancing since the age of four. With family roots in Italy, she was born in Philadelphia, Pa where she honed her craft as an entertainer being classically trained in opera. Gabriella holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from DeSales University.

At a very young age, she performed with such legendary great as, Ann Miller, Cyd Charisse and Tony Martin. She was seen by Merv Griffin while performing in Atlantic City and soon became the headliner of his showroom at Resorts Casino for his production show. Gabriella then followed up by co-starring with Steve Gatlin of the famous Gatlin Brothers.

Gabriella represented her state as Miss Pennsylvania at the Miss America pageant where she was honored as a Quality of Life finalist for Excellence in Volunteerism. At Miss Pennsylvania she was the talent, interview and swimsuit winner! Gabriella is also the current, "MISS LADY OF AMERICA".

Gabriella then moved to Las Vegas where she was the Star of Greg Thompson's, "SHOWGIRLS", HONKY TONK COWGIRLS", as well as the Headlining star of "EROCKTICA, SEX, SWEAT AND ROCK N ROLL", which played at the Rio All Suites Hotel and Casino. She was selected by producer Greg Thompson because of her triple-threat characteristics. "I wanted the body of Pamela Anderson, someone who could dance like JLO and sing like Beyonce. That's not an easy combination to find", said Thompson. Not only did he find what he was looking for, but found so much more in Versace's talents.

Gabriella has performed “Broadway Showstoppers” for Thompson several times and will make this her third version of the show.

Gabriella is currently the lead singer of the Las Vegas Rock band, "NITRO", and is performing in several entertainment venus in Las Vegas, as well as the creator of SHOWGIRL CUPCAKES!
